PS. 09 Is Your Language Stopping You From Being Great?
When I reflected on the language I use, so many lightbulbs went off in my brain!
"I'm bad with numbers" meant my annual tax return was a thing of dread, and I avoided conversations around financial planning.
"I'm so bad at video" delayed me from just going for it and made me overthink it.
The language we use is so powerful, and in this episode, I invite you to reflect with me.
Soundbites
"See, all of these statements are powerful because essentially, they come true. And why do they come true? Well in my opinion, it's because we convince ourselves of it being a fact and when something is a fact, it becomes unchangeable. "
" If we convince ourselves we're no good with numbers, that might lead to making poor financial decisions in our businesses, not just in our personal lives. "
" So what we say matters and if, like me, you have a real think about it, you might find that your language about certain things is stopping you from being great in those areas."
Enjoy :-)
