PS. 14 It's All About What You Create
When we invest in any kind of support, whether it's a coach, a course or a mentor, we look for the return on investment - in short, we want results from what we've invested in.
And if we don't get results, it not unusual to feel like we made a bad investment, like the trainer somehow let us down.
Now, that could be the case, but it isn't always.
A phrase I heard in a recent webinar that made me think about this was when someone said how "your return on investment is about what you create, not what your trainer delivers".
What a valuable golden nugget for us to keep in mind - and it doesn't just apply to learning!
Soundbites
"Personal responsibility is really important, but it's often hard to take."
"I had an honest conversation with a client recently ... she had to be honest with herself and acknowledge she was choosing not to change anything."
"Until we take responsibility for our results, nothing will change. It's hard to do, but as with most things, once we master it, the results are powerful."
Enjoy :-)
